Ladakh Mountain Pass

What is a Mountain Pass?

A mountain pass is a natural route through a mountain range that provides the easiest way to cross from one valley to another. In Ladakh, these passes have served for centuries as trade routes connecting India with Central Asia and Tibet. Today, they remain essential for local communities, the Indian Armed Forces, and travelers exploring the region.
