- Shey Palace & Monastery: Built in 1655 by King Deldan Namgyal, this clifftop complex overlooks the Indus Valley. Inside the monastery, you will find a towering 12-meter (39 ft) Shakyamuni Buddha statue covered in gilded gold.
- The “3 Idiots” School: The Druk Padma Karpo Institute is located here and draws many Bollywood fans eager to see the real-life “Rancho’s School”.
